FRESIS 1.0: A Fluid-Rigid-Elastic structure interaction solver
نویسندگان
چکیده
FRESIS is developed based on a full-Eulerian mathematical framework and can be addressed as tool for reproducible, extendable efficient research in Fluid-Rigid-Elastic structure interaction field. Due to the flexible algorithm which implemented Fortran, any application that requires solution of problem, could benefit from FRESIS.

Penalty-projection Method for a Monolithic Fluid Structure Interaction Solver
Abstract. In this paper we present the results of Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) computations of an incompressible solid object and laminar incompressible viscous flows using a combined penalty-projection algorithm. The system consists of a fluid region governed by Navier-Stokes equations and a solid domain described by elastic and hyperelastic structure mechanical equations. In particular w...
متن کاملConstruction of a high order fluid-structure interaction solver
Accuracy is critical if we are to trust simulation predictions. In settings such as fluidstructure interaction it is all the more important to obtain reliable results to understand, for example, the impact of pathologies on blood flows in the cardiovascular system. In this paper, we propose a computational strategy for simulating fluid structure interaction using high order methods in space and...
متن کاملWeak Solutions for a Fluid-elastic Structure Interaction Model
The purpose of this paper is to study a model coupling an incompressible viscous fluid with an elastic structure in a bounded container. We prove the existence of weak solutions “à la Leray” as long as no collisions occur.
متن کاملFluid-structure interaction studies on marine propeller
Composite propellers offer high damping characteristics and corrosion resistance when compared with metal propellers. But the design of a hybrid composite propeller with the same strength of metal propeller is the critical task. For this purpose, the present paper focusses on fluid-structure interaction analysis of hybrid composite propeller with Carbon/Epoxy, R-Glass/Epoxy and S2-Glass/Epoxy t...
متن کاملDynamic Interaction between a Rigid Body and an Elastic Ring
Dynamic interaction between two bodies, where one is significantly more flexible than the other, is common (e.g. rotor-casing contact). This paper presents a linear model for simulating contact between rigid and flexible bodies. The motion between contacts is predicted by modal superposition, using separate models for the two components. During contact, the models are coupled via a linear conta...
